When you’re organising your wedding, one of the most important decisions is choosing the right photographer. You want to know that they’ll be the best person to work with you to capture your special memories of your big day. Which is why you need to make your choice as early as possible. After booking your venue, I think it’s probably one of the most important decisions that you need to make.
As a professional female wedding photographer in Farnham and Alton, I tend to be booked 12 months in advance between April and October, with the most popular dates being in May and September. It’s always lovely to hear that the bride was particularly looking for a female wedding photographer. However, I always feel it is a shame when couples contact me close to their wedding date but I’m already booked for another couple’s wedding.
If you are passionate about having stunning photographs to capture your wedding day, you need to ensure that you get the right photographer for your wedding. You may have been recommended a photographer by friends or family, or even looked on Google.
Your first impression will be the photographer’s website. A good wedding photographer will have the style of images you like, a good up to date range of photographs in their portfolio of wedding images and some great testimonials. It’s important to arrange an initial meeting and get a feel for whether you would feel comfortable with the photographer taking your wedding photographs.
When you meet your potential wedding photographer, you should be able to view their portfolio of photographs in a quality wedding album. It’s important that you find out what price the photographer charges, however I strongly believe that as in life, you get what you pay for. A big part of the service that you book is the photographer’s personality. For me, a wedding photographer needs to blend into your wedding day, capture great images but not take over your day.
If your wedding photographs are important to you, then get in touch soon to secure your wedding date.
