It had been the first time I had taken wedding photographs at Cribbs Stone Barn so drove to the venue the night before Joanna and James’ wedding – wow! What an amazing wedding Joanna and James were going to have. Taking wedding photographs at barn locations in the countryside are some of my favourite wedding locations.
I had taken Joanna’s brother Craig’s wedding to Maria at Winkworth Farm in Wiltshire; again an amazing barn and grounds set in the Wiltshire countryside. I was therefore delighted when I was contacted by Joanna to take her wedding photographs to James. It was lovely to catch up with Craig and Joanna’s family again.
Joanna was getting ready at the De Vere Hotel in Swindon, close to her home. Joanna had chose an Enzoani wedding dress; the Enzoani bridal collection is one of the most renowned brands which have exceptional quality and above all a fit and finish like no other. And Joanna really did look stunning in her Enzoani wedding dress. I loved her choice of lemon for the bridesmaid dresses and her Lotus floral yellow shoes complimented the colour scheme perfectly. Joanna had chosen sunflowers for her bridal bouquet; a perfect choice of flower to compliment the theme of her wedding at Stone Barn. The sunflowers looked beautiful. Joanna’s hair and makeup, as well as the bridesmaid’s, was done by Lizzy. I had met Lizzy the makeup artist at Maria’s wedding last year and she does do an amazing job on hair and makeup. Joanna looked stunning!
Joanna arrived really early at Stone Barn and had to go off for a little drive; the sign of a very organised bride. The barn looked amazing and Joanna and her family had worked really hard to make sure the flowers and decorations were just right. The vintage rustic wooden crates personalised with family names were filled with beautiful yellow and white country garden flowers. The wedding cake topped with sugar sunflowers and a bride and groom looked fantastic and complimented with cupcakes.
