Having your wedding at Newhouse Estate, Salisbury must be so exciting and as a wedding photographer, the perfect location for taking wedding photographs. I was delighted when Sandra, the wedding co-ordinator at Newhouse Estate asked me to take her own wedding photographs. As soon as I met Sandra, I knew we were going to get on really well and after a recent styled bridal shoot at Newhouse, I just knew Sandra and Martin’s wedding photographs would be amazing.
On route to Newhouse Estate, I had to make a little detour to pick up Sandra’s wedding dress (wow a little scary but she trusted me!). Sandra had changed her mind about her wedding dress a few days before her wedding. Sass & Grace, who supplied Sandra’s beautiful dress, were amazing at getting Sandra her dream dress altered in time for her wedding. It was well worth it as Sandra looked stunning in her Annasul Y bridal dress AY2734B. I was greeted by a happy bride as I brought her wedding dress up to the bridal room. The bridal room at Newhouse is perfect for a bride getting ready. It was such a relaxed morning. Lucinda and Laura from Serene Bridal, Wiltshire did an amazing job of Sandra’s hair and makeup – she looked amazing.
I love that Sandra wore her mother’s engagement ring – such a special thing to do on your wedding day. Unfortunately Sandra’s mother had passed away a few years ago and loved that they had her Mother’s bicycle there filled with flowers.
One of Sandra’s friends did all the flowers for Sandra – I loved the tones of pinks and purples, they looked beautiful.
Proud Dad ready to walk his daughter down the aisle. It was lovely that Sandra’s two boys Charles and Tom walked their mum down the stairs to greet Sandra’s dad.
Sandra and Martin had hoped to have their wedding ceremony outside in the gardens of Newhouse but unfortunately they had to make a call to have the ceremony inside as it looked like rain was on its way. So it was a quick move around of the flowers setup outside into the inside of Newhouse. The ceremony room looked beautiful and it was such a lovely ceremony, it really didn’t matter whether it was inside or out.
The afternoon reception was lovely and at least the rain held off for Sandra and Martin to greet their guests and enjoy the afternoon. Sandra had planned a picnic by the lake and just as the guests started to head down to the lake it started to rain. The Little Kitched Company did an amazing job of serving the guests despite the rain and then transporting the picnics back up to the house when the rain just got too much.
Even though the picnic didn’t quite go to plan, we were really lucky to have the majority of the photographs outside. I love the bride and groom photographs around the grounds of Newhouse.
