I had a lovely time taking Donna and Rob’s photographs of their wedding at Mercure Bush Hotel, Farnham. The weather forecast wasn’t looking too good but it didn’t stop Donna and Rob having an amazing wedding day.
I love sharing the morning with Donna while she got ready at the Bush Hotel with her bridesmaid. Donna didn’t wear the traditional bridal shoes and loved the purple converse shoes she chose to match with the colour scheme and also the beautiful bridal flowers from Classical Floral Designs. It was great to catch up with Becky and Hayley from Beauty Call who did an amazing job on Donna and the bridesmaids’ hair and makeup.
Rob is part of the Welsh Guards and it was something quite special to take photographs of a military wedding. It was lovely to see Donna greeted at the St Andrews , Farnham church door by the Welsh Guard wearing bearskins. The ceremony was lovely and lots of smiles by Donna and Rob.
It started to rain as soon as Donna and Rob came out of church, which was a shame but Donna got to use her new purple umbrella.
The venue at Mercure Bush Hotel looked amazing with Donna and Rob’s venue decorations. The rain didn’t stop so we were limited on the photographs we could take outside. We did manage some outdoor photographs though…
I loved the speeches, which were both funny and quite emotional too. It was lovely to see the guests welcomed by the bagpiper Donald Lendrum as they moved from the main hotel into the evening reception.
There was plenty of entertainment for the evening reception with a wedding caricaturist and casino. It was quite a party.
It was such a lovely wedding and a real pleasure to be able to share Rob and Donna’s wedding day.
