Wow it must have been the hottest day of our summer so far and what a perfect sunny day for a perfect wedding. It was a real pleasure to take Bobby and Jemma’s wedding photographs at St Thomas of Canterbury Catholic Church, Fairford and then onto to wedding reception at Crown of Crucis , Cirencester on Saturday 22nd July 2016.
I arrived at the Jemma’s parents house around 8am and could instantly tell they were a really close family. There is something special about a bride going back to her parents house to get ready before she is married. Home was definitely where the heart was!
Stunning beautiful flowers from Little Gems in Swindon. The flowers were very special to Jemma and brought a tear to her eyes when she realised that there were orange tulips in her bouquet in memory of her close friend Katie who passed away. I love the contrast of the flowers against the bridesmaids orange shoes.
The girls from JJ’s hair salon did an amazing job of not only Jemma’s hair but also the bridesmaids. Jemma’s parents’ dining room, had perfect natural lighting, which made a great location to have hair and makeup done and the large mirrors were great for photos. Jemma’s hair did look amazing.
The Mother of the Bride presented Jemma with a bridal bag full of goodies… Apparently Jemma is a big Little Mermaid fan so without a doubt Jemma loved her Little Mermaid doll.
Sometimes it is the little things that mean so much. Jemma placed this pin on her bridal flowers; the pin contained her grandmothers rings – this was something very special!
Jemma’s dad was amazing… he was a bit outnumbered by all the females in the house but could tell he felt the world of his girls. The breakfast was not bad either! Although think it was Jemma’s mum that did most of the cooking.
One of my favourite photograph for bride getting ready is when the Father of the Bride first sees his daughter already to get married.
It was lovely to see that Jemma and Bobby had booked Function Cars from Purton. Function Cars and myself seem to have a lot of wedding bookings together which is great. I was delighted as their cars are amazing to photograph.

I hadn’t been to St Thomas of Canterbury Catholic Church in Fairford so drove there the night before. I love this pretty church and it had some great shaded tree areas where we could take the group photographs in the bright sunshine. It was great to catch up with Bobby at the church with his best man, ushers and page boys. I just loved how cute little James looked with his sunglasses on.
As in true bride style, Jemma arrived at the church just a little late…beautiful cars by Function Cars of Purton
The wedding ceremony was beautiful and the Catholic priest was so relaxed about being taking photographs which was great for Jemma and Bobby. I love how happy Jemma and Bobby are throughout the service; I don’t think Jemma stopped smiling
After an amazing ceremony at the church, we all head to the reception venue; The Crown of Crucis. I managed to get some amazing venue photograph before the bride and groom arrive. The room looked amazing thanks to Venues Covered
