I loved taking Darren & Keeley’s wedding photographs! It’s always great to take photographs of a wedding at Blundson House Hotel, Swindon and of course even more special was that the wedding ceremony took place at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Swindon, where my parents were married and my daughters baptised. The weather forecast wasn’t great, the forecast was for rain but I could tell that it wasn’t going to spoil Keeley’s wedding day.
Keeley got ready at her parent’s house. It was such a lovely morning, relaxed and calm and everyone enjoying themselves. Isn’t that how a wedding morning should be? Keeley looked beautiful. She has the most amazing hair which looked stunning curled. Her choice of wedding dress was just perfect. Darren was going to love the sight of his bride walking down the aisle.
The rain did manage to hold off while Keeley and her bridesmaids walked into St Mary’s Church. It was just perfect timing as once she was inside, it poured down. The ceremony was lovely and just what Keeley and Darren had wanted. I could tell this couple loved to have fun. As it was raining, all the group photographs were taken inside the church. The church made such a great backdrop and plenty of space to take group photographs.
I love the bride and groom photographs taken outside the church. It was raining slightly so the bridal umbrella was put to use and of course makes great photographs that tells the story of the day.
It poured down once we arrived at Blunsdon House Hotel but once inside it really didn’t matter what the weather was like outside. There was a great atmosphere and loved catching up with Graeme from Dinner Jazz Sax. The wedding breakfast room looked amazing and Keeley got an extra surprise of having it decorated with fairy lights. It did look amazing. After the wedding breakfast and the rain had stopped we did get chance to make use of the stunning gardens and the bridge at Blunsdon for some additonal bride and groom photographs. I loved taking Darren and Keeley bride and groom photographs – such a fun couple who clearly are so much in love – perfect partners.
If I was told to remember only one thing from Keeley and Darren’s wedding then that would have been the speeches! The Best Men speeches were one of the best I have ever seen. It would seem that Darren’s a bit of a film fan and rates himself as a bit of an actor so it was perfect material for the Best Men to create such an amazing speech.
Like all good weddings, my day comes to an end with the first dance. A little late than scheduled but it was just one of those wedding when everyone was enjoying themselves that time didn’t matter at all.
