Cinderella went to the Church…Wedding at Wrag Barn, Swindon
Once upon a time I met an amazing couple; well actually an amazing family. I had taken Kris’ sisters wedding to Matt over 4 years ago and was delighted to be able to take Kris and Jemimah’s wedding. As part of Kris’ speech he had said that one of his requests of his wife-to-be was to have me as their wedding photographer. At this point, I didn’t really know Jemimah but leading up to the wedding had got to know Jemimah quite well as she had modeled for me at a couple of supplier collaboration styled shoots.
I had a lovely time taking Kris and Jemimah’s pre-wedding photographs back in spring and noticed that Jemimah had amazing blue eyes and as I had an idea of doing a Cinderella themed bridal shoot, thought Jemimah would be perfect. With her love of Disney she was delighted to be able to model for me.
Jemimah would have loved to have her wedding themed on Disney but I’m sure it wouldn’t have gone down too well with Kris. Jemimah, Kayleigh (sister-in-law-to-be) and Lorraine (mother-in-law-to-be) spent a mini-hen weekend in Disneyland Paris so loved the Disney connection.
Jemimah got ready at her mum’s house in Swindon and it was such a lovely atmosphere; plenty of Disney tunes being played. When I arrived at the house Jemimah was having her makeup done by Emma from MoJo makeup; as always Emma does an amazing job with the makeup. I loved the style of Jemimah’s wedding dress and looked beautiful against the bridemaids Coast dresses. I loved Jemimah’s monsoon vintage wedding shoes; just perfect to compliment her wedding dress. Her Alan Hannah headdress look amazing with Jemimah’s chosen hairstyle beautifully created by hairdresser Denise Close.
Jemimah’s wedding flowers were put together by Kris’ aunty and as always does such an amazing job. Kris and Jemimah had gone for a Cadbury-purple colour – Jemimah wanted pink and Kris blue so a bit of a compromise. Jemimah’s dad had sent through a slideshow of images of Kris and Jemimah and it brought a few tears to Jemimah’s eyes. It was lovely to see a photograph of Jemimah as a young girl dressed as Cinderella.
Jemimah arrived on time to the Gateway Church in Swindon. Kris and Jemimah being Christians, the ceremony is always uplifting. It was such a beautiful ceremony and only a few tears from Jemimah and her dad. After the ceremony it was onto their wedding reception at Wrag barn. The wedding party was running late from the church so were a little later arriving at Wrag Barn than expected so there wasn’t much time for photographs but managed to get them all done in time ready for the wedding breakfast. The speeches were brilliant and definitely brought some laughter and tears; the photographs will definitely bring back happy memories of the speeches.
After the wedding breakfast, Kris, Jemimah and myself took a little venture out onto the golf course with the golf buggies and got some amazing bride and groom photographs. It was a shame that the light was going so quickly. It was lovely to see all the guests on the balcony cheering the bride and groom as they drove up to the barn.
The first dance was lovely and to Kris’ surprise Jemimah did an amazing choreographed dance with her dad and bridesmaids. For me a fun-end to a brilliant wedding day.
It was such a pleasure to be able to take Jemimah and Kris’ wedding photographs; such an amazing couple.
