Wow! What an amazing couple and an amazing wedding; I had such a lovely time taking Yvonne and Gary’s wedding photographs at Wroughton Church and then their wedding reception at The Bay Tree, Burford.
I first met Yvonne back at school quite a few years ago and then briefly worked together a few years ago and then our paths have crossed again when she asked me to take her wedding photographs. When I met Gary just over a year ago, I knew they were the perfect couple for each other. I loved taking their pre-wedding photographs and just love how happy they are together and laugh a lot. It’s so important in a relationship.
Yvonne’s day started with her being done by Bryan at Chartz hairdressers in Swindon. Yvonne had gone for a vintage style of her wedding and Yvonne hair looked amazing. Yvonne and I then headed to her house in Swindon where all the girls were getting ready. There was a great buzz with hair and make up being done. Yvonne’s sons were on the case with preparing breakfast for us all. Jennifer Dytham Hair and Makeup Artist did an amazing job of the hair and make-up – all the girls looked stunning.
Yvonne had chosen a vintage wedding dress from Fairy Goth Mother in London with a royal blue lindy-bop underskirt; it looked amazing. I loved her Irregular Choice navy shoes that complimented her choice of dress. The bridesmaid also wore Irregular Choice shoes in cream and soft-green to co-ordinate with the colour scheme. Yvonne had put a lot of hard work into the bouquets and created them all herself. I love the unique bouquets of beads and feathers.
Yvonne and Gary got married the church in Wroughton. It was lovely to be able to take photographs at the church in the village where I grew up.
The wedding reception at the Baytree was amazing. The grounds are so beautiful and loved the bride and groom photos.
The weather was perfect and such a relaxed day. I loved the music played by Gilmoreenjaz – perfect! The first dance was fantastic and a get party had by all.
