Gemma’s ‘Sprinkle of Fairy Dust’ on a Frosty winters day!
It is always lovely to catch up with wedding suppliers to get to know each other a little better and also share creative ideas to jointly enhance the wedding experience for a bride whether it is for their hair and makeup or photography.
Gemma and I had worked together both at weddings and styled shoots but rarely have time to sit down and get to know each other properly. I left our meeting, not only feel inspired by Gemma’s passion and enthusiasm for the success of her hair and makeup business but also her positive attitude to life in general. She admits she might be a tiny bit bonkers but has a kind caring side and will go that extra mile to make sure everything is just perfect for her bride.
Gemma started her career in theatre and trained with Italia Conti and Rose Bruford College. She got to a point in her life where she felt her career in theatre had reached a bit of an end. She wanted a change so trained with Beauty Call and set up her own bridal hair and makeup business. Her bride bookings have steadily increased over the 3 years she has been in business and has recently taken on business manager to help with the administration and social media.
Gemma has very clear idea on her style of makeup. Her aim is to enhance the bride’s features and show her how she can look amazing for her special day. Using high-end high street products, she believes that everyone has the right to look and feel amazing.
Gemma provides every bride with their own Big Day Touch Up kit which has all the essentials that a bride will need during the day to keep her makeup and hair looking in perfect condition. It is these special touches that make Gemma stand out and without a doubt a favourite choice of hair and makeup artist for any bride.
I look forward to working with Gemma next year and working together to create an amazing experience for our brides.
