There are key moments in your life that so special that they will stay with you for the rest of your life. For the last 12 months I have been on the must amazing photography programme. The Aspire Bespoke Programme is acknowledged by the photographic industry as a world class program and the best in its field. Introduced in 1998, it has created and developed the best photographers in our industry today. Yesterday Bespoke group 42 graduated and what an amazing but very emotional two days we had; ‘we all are going to have an extra-ordinary life’
Catherine and Jane from Aspire have taken us on a fantastic journey over the last 12 months and each and everyone of our group were amazing and will always remain very special to me.
So this time last year I started my own journey with Aspire to evolve and grow my photography business with Aspire. What made my journey quite unique was with Aspire it’s not just a photography business journey but achieving my own personal goals to make my dreams come true.
So everything is possible with a little sunshine and a bit of pink…..
I had been a wedding photographer for over 10 years and for the majority of this time I had been juggling running a photography business whilst working part-time within the Corporate Banking World. So moving to Hampshire in 2011, it was time to live the dream and become a full tine photographer. I wanted to take my new photography business to a new level and have a successful business that truly represented me. I was determined to make 2015 My Best Year Yet.
Sometimes you don’t know what you need until you get it…..
With the Aspire Magic Wand, I knew things needed to change. My branding, logo and website didn’t represent who I am. I wasn’t using my marketing opportunities to the maximum. I wasn’t in love with my photography products and they weren’t the right products for my clients.
So it was time to get tough with my business and put some hard work in…
I defined what I needed for my business ‘to follow my passion, run a professional and successful photography business whilst maintaining a work-life balance and create beautiful high quality photographs that are “Something a Little Special”. I wanted to be true to my own personal values: Reliable: Honest: Trustworthy: Efficient: Friendly: Client Focused: Positive: Organised : Ambitious: Approachable: Transparent:
So it was time to find myself and strength I needed…
Towards the end of last year I found an amazing Designer Lucy Ledger and loved her style and knew she was the right designer to re-brand my photography business. I love my new branding; it’s floral, pastels and rustic which really reflected me. The language and tone of my letters and website were changed to reflect my style. I focused on building a network of contacts with other wedding suppliers and most of all I was now believing in me. I changed my wedding albums and love providing my clients with Queensberry wedding albums.
So it having my cake and eating it…
The last 12 months have been amazing and am firmly on that road to have a profitable photography business with amazing clients and I look good and feel fantastic. I love the lifestyle that my photography brings me. 2015 My Best Year Yet!
So success is having your feet firmly on the ground…
This year I really wanted to wow my clients and provide amazing photographs for my clients. I will provide my clients with a first class wedding photography journey and really create something a little special for them. I now know my photography style and where my business is heading. I love getting my weddings and styled photo shoots published in magazines and wedding blogs. I’ve got some amazing referral fans; clients, other wedding suppliers and other wedding photographers too. I love bringing creatives together for creating some amazing styled collaboration shoots.
So with buckets of belief in my future self…
I’ve had a focused year with lots of hard work put in to achieve the photography business I had once dreamed of. I love my business and love my clients and am so excited to have an extra-ordinary life.
